A stamp to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Fratelli Tallia di Delfino wool mill: a reward for the textile industry and its history.
On October 26, 2023, the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy issued the new ordinary stamp marked Fratelli Tallia di Delfino, belonging to the thematic series “The excellences of the production and economic system,” printed in a limited edition of 250.020 pieces directly by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca di Stato S.p.A.
After receiving the Historic Brand award in 2022, it’s an honor for the Fratelli Tallia di Delfino wool mill to continue with this further recognition.
Collection items
The design on the stamp, created by Tiziana Trinca, shows the façade of the historic headquarters of Fratelli Tallia di Delfino in Strona, enveloped in a selection of its fine fabrics with an innate sartorial style.
The first-day-of-issue postmark was available at the philatelic counter of the Strona post office. The stamp and related philatelic products, postcards, cards, and illustrated bulletins will be available at Post Offices with philatelic counters, the “Spazio Filatelia” in Firenze, Genova, Milano, Napoli, Roma, Roma 1, Torino, Trieste, Venezia, Verona, and on the website filatelia.poste.it.
A three-sided philatelic folder was also produced for the occasion, containing a quartet of stamps, a single stamp, a cancelled and franked postcard, a first-day cover, and the illustrated bulletin.
